Tuesday, July 1: The flight here was nice and uneventful although I wish I could’ve slept. Feeling very jet-lagged. Our hotel is quaint but very nice, and it’s located in a very central area in Paris. I long to start wandering, but I know there will be plenty of time to immerse myself. The Welcome Dinner was an amazing 3-course spread of shrimp, veal and a chocolate-pistachio dessert. Carlos Ortiz gave us a preview of the Seine and Notre-Dame, and I captured some great video footage. Looking forward to the first bike trek.
